About

Skipslate is a collection of original writings on technology by Brice Mason. Inspired by the long lazy days skipping slate across Lake St. Catherine in Vermont, skipslate represents a mindset of daydream-induced curiosity and creativity. Although you will occasionally come across a standard tutorial, skipslate's aim is to present content beyond the norm. We can't guarantee usefulness, but we hope it's interesting.

Where applicable, articles are structured using a tab-based interface as follows:

  • The Gist - In case you don't want to read the whole article, begin to read the article and get bored, or are just plain curious, this section provides a bare bones representation of the full length article.
  • Article - The full length article.
  • Code - This tab provides an ordered listing of any code samples, figures, tables, and images used in the article source.
  • Downloads - Provides a listing of links to download any code examples related to the article.
  • Links - External links to any topics discussed.
